A wedding dinner under a sea of fairy lights. Sounds good right? Julia and Nik might be familiar to you from their engagement photos in South Africa – and I have been itching to shoot this wedding for so freaking long. It is really Julia’s fault because she would give me constant updates on the wedding planning and making me drool all over her inspiration. This was gonna be one for the books. And it was.
Julia and Nik handpicked the people that are truly most important to them and decided they would go for the wedding they really wanted. Under the stars in France. Embraced by the shadows of trees. In a place that holds the most special of memories for them – they decided to make a new great memory right there.
Their ceremony was very personal, with a few of their closest people sharing their wishes with them instead of one celebrant holding the ceremony. I loved that idea and it made everything so much more intimate.
The beauty Julia created and all of her friends that chipped in – it was divine. Julia’s attention to beauty and detail is something everyone loves about her and people mentioned it multiple times throughout the day. Beauty just makes a difference when it’s there, doesn’t it?
It was a huge honour to be a part of this incredible weekend and being embraced like more than vendors, but really, like family. Thank you Julia and Nik, we love you guys. And we are hoping for many more moments like these.
You can see the Behind The Scenes of this wedding on my Channel, I did a little vlogging.
Enjoy my friends, enjoy. Love, Nadia
