So we got to go to Portugal for this really sweet elopement – and it was a beautiful week! Christin is a photographer herself so it was a big compliment to be asked to shoot her wedding as well as the promise of great things to come. Christin and Fabian only took Christin’s brother with them and it was a super intimate, relaxed wedding day, together with Anne and her husband, who married them.
Guys, this was truly a brilliant adventure. There was CHEESECAKE, waffles with NUTELLA, wonky fairy lights, there was wrinkled nose laughter, breathtaking skies, a box full of love letters, a fun after-wedding-shoot, soft-spoken forever promises, yummy mediterranean food and so much love exchanged (Ok the order in which I listed these says nothing about me!).
Shoutout to the great staff at Vila Monte, you are a bunch of brilliant humans. So kind, so helpful and sweet.
The ceremony took place next to a very big and very old olive tree. It’s been standing for decades, through storms and wind. Weathered but not beaten. It developed deep roots, it has stretched into the sky, it houses and nourishes other creatures in its branches and gives shade and protection with its leaves. What an amazing image for a life together. I wish you this kind of life together Christin and Fabian.
The next night, we went to a secluded windy and stormy beach for Tini and Fabians after wedding shoot. These are some of my favourites…
