Oh Mamma mia. How can I describe this?! Except for it was an absolute dream? I sound like a broken record but you know what? EVERY wedding I shoot should be the best wedding I’ve ever been to. I WANT to love every wedding I am at. Otherwise I would be doing the wrong job.
And really, Theresa and Kevin made it so easy on me. Theresa is a terrific wedding photographer herself, so I knew that things would be extra gorgeous – just because she’s in the business and she knows what matters.
A few things that made this day stand out? The beautiful fine art, organic decoration, that Theresa and her mother made, Kevin’s emotional reaction when he saw HER for the first time that day. (And all his other emotional reactions after that one) The sweets Theresa made for her bridesmaids during the getting ready. The gifts she prepared for everyone involved. The pouring rain during cocktail hour in the glass house. All the tears from pretty much everyone, all the time (!) – this day was filled to the brim not only with so much beauty and thoughtfulness but with incredibly loving people that truly cared.
This is why intimate weddings are my favorite thing: the ones that are there are the ones who care. Not about the food or the comfort of the chairs – but about YOU. This is what a wedding should be all about.
Theresa & Kevin’s emotional First Look…I LOVE those so so much!
