Ode to Paris.

This is an Ode to Paris. I remember the first time I went to Paris in 2013 and being absolutely overwhelmed at everything I thought Paris had to be. It’s that Paris or New York – phenomenon, where your mind is so influenced by the media that actually being there can be too much or even disappointing. But at the same time I loved it immediately and I felt very at home and comfortable right away.

I was lucky to go there twice after that and I will be going one more time for a beautiful elopement. And every single time Paris wins more and more of my heart.

Last week, during a little business trip for a photoshoot, I stood on the balcony of our hotel, looking out to the Eifel Tower (after me and my lovely assistant squeaked for five minutes at the view) and thinking: I could stay here.

Paris, I love you.

I love your many markets.

I love hearing your people speak french, because it sounds like beautiful music. I love your buildings and your parisian apartments.

I love your sunrise and your sunset.

I love how classy and chic your people dress (although I love my sweatpants) and I love to delight myself in their beauty.

I love your Nutella Crepes.

I love sitting in one of your many cafés, at the pretty pink or blue or marble tables and think how perfectly instagramable they are.

I adore your french accent when you speak english.

I feel like you have more rain than London, but I love you even in rainy weather.

There’s a magical inspiration on your rainy streets.

I love that you look like a painting.

Your beauty makes me feel alive and it comforts me.  And for that, I will always love you.
