Last week, on the 25th of October, the great team of Rheinweiss organized the very first German Wedding Congress in Cologne!
I was asked months ago to be one of the speakers. And my first instinct, as always, was to say NO. I hate speaking in front of a lot of people and I get very scared and weird. Luckily I have a husband that gives me wings and makes my fly. He really is amazing.
And so he helped me to say yes. Once again. Saying yes to things has such incredible potential. It makes life more exciting and it makes you grow.
The speaker line-up was amazing and I was honored to speak next to Kat Williams from RocknRoll bride, Eleanor Mayerhofer who talked about Social Media , Johanne Bossmann from Noni, Heidi Kneller who gave us legal advice and Matthew Robbins who took us through the steps of his inspiration process and at the same time inspired everyone with this humble kindness. There were lots of interesting things like a panel discussion about upcoming trends in the industry for 2015.
Also, Eddy covered for Carmen and Ingo and did their presentation, so that they could be with their baby girl. Everyone was so nice to him and cheered him on, he loved it : )
One of the best things was meeting collegues and making new friends. I love how our wedding industry in Germany is growing closer and closer – together we are so much more powerful than alone! If you don’t get that, you have to re-boot your brain. Nobody works well as an island!
It’s so much fun to look at all the images on Instagram that you can find at #hochzeitskongress. Check them out : )
I want to express my gratitude to everyone at Rheinweiss for inviting me to this great event and for taking care of us. And thank you to everyone who attended and came out to me just to say Hi or giving me feedback on my presentation. Turns out, people thought I was funny. Who knew. Your encouragement and support means so much to me, because at the end, I am just a scared girl and I am the same as you. Please don’t ever think I am different.
If you’d like to see the Congress through my eyes, feel free to watch the vlog I made on my Youtube Channel.
If you were not there, you definitely missed out, and I hope you come next time : )
Selfie with the crowd first. I’m all about priorities.
Almost 200 people!!! Eeek!
